For Ashford Or Lendrum Spinning Wheel Footman Rocker E Clips C Clips Circlips 2x

2 x compatible replacement E-Clips (sometimes called C-Clips or Circlips) to connect the footman to the drive wheel's hub or shaft on all Lendrum and some Ashford spinning wheels. Also for connecting the rocker arm to it's shaft on Lendrum upright wheels.

1/4" (1/4 inch) E-Clips will fit all Lendrum wheels.

3/8" (3/8 inch) E-Clips will connect the footman to the drive wheel's shaft on some Ashford wheels - please check the shaft on your Ashford spinning wheel to see if an E-Clip is required. If there is a groove cut all the way around the end of the shaft where it appears on the outside of the footman, then this is where an E-Clip would fit – please see the photo of such a groove and an E-Clip fitted to my own (Lendrum) upright wheel.

NB. As an alternative to fitting an E-Clip, you could fit something called a 'Starlock Clip' instead (Ashford sometimes do this themselves). However, the correct size Starlock Clip is difficult to obtain, whereas a 3/8" E-Clip is more readily available, is historically normally the preferred option and, of course, does a perfect job anyway!

You will be supplied with two (2) E-Clips, but you may only need to fit one per wheel. If so, keep the other one as a spare.

NB. I normally supply black-coloured E-Clips. However, I may need to substitute gold coloured ones.

NB. These E-Clips are not made by either Ashford or Lendrum; they are being supplied from my workshop here in south Wales, UK.

Either two (2) E-Clips to fit the 1/4" shafts on all Lendrum spinning wheels or two (2) E-Clips to fit the 3/8" shaft on some Ashford spinning wheels. Will either be black or gold in colour.
